The Program Committee will review all submitted abstracts. Please note: Presenters of accepted abstracts must pre-register for the Congress by the early-bird deadline, October 15, 2026. Abstracts must be submitted via the Oxford Abstracts website. Faxed or emailed abstracts will not be considered.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Essential Requirements (Please review)

• Abstracts may be submitted for ePoster presentations.
• There is no limit to the number of abstracts an author may submit.
• Abstracts must be original and must not have been published or presented at any other meeting before the Congress.
• All accepted abstracts will be published in the official Congress publications.
• Only abstracts of authors who have paid their registration fees by October 15, 2026 (early bird registration) will be included in the Scientific Program. Please note that at least one of the authors has to be registered for the Congress.
• Each registered author is responsible for his/her registration fee(s), travel, and accommodation costs.
• Abstracts must be submitted by the announced deadline. Abstracts received after the deadline will not be considered.
• All the listed presenters have previewed this abstract and agree to its submission.

Before you begin, please prepare the following information:

Login page: You must be logged in to submit an abstract. You can create an account with your email address, or use your Google or LinkedIn profile for a faster sign-in.

Categories: Please choose a subject category which best describes your submission. You can choose from Basic Science,
Clinical Trials, Observational Studies, Case Reports, Systematic Reviews, Meta-Analyses, Quality Improvement & Patient Safety, and Other (if none of the previous categories).

Title: Limited to 50 words in UPPER CASE

Abstract: Limited to 250 words (Please be sure not to include extra spaces and symbols as these are included in the word count.)  We recommend using word-processing software (for example, MS Word) to edit your abstract and count the number of words. Typing your text directly into the field is not recommended. If you copy and paste the title and/or body from a Word document, special characters or formatting may not transfer. You may have to replace special characters and/or insert formatting tags using the character palette on the abstract submission website.

Structure: Abstracts should clearly state Objectives; Methods; Results; and Conclusions.

Figures and Tables: You may embed essential tables and figures directly into your submission using the Oxford Abstracts text editor; please ensure all visual data is legible and clearly labeled. Note: Text within tables may count toward your total word limit.

References: Please list all your references using standard AMA/Vancouver formatting: Author(s). Article title. Journal Name. Year; Volume(Issue): start-end. Example: Smith AB, Jones CD, White EF, et al. Efficacy of DRG stimulation for SI joint pain. Neuromodulation. 2025; 28(2): 145-152.

Acknowledgments: Please acknowledge any funding source and contributors to the research.

Author and co-authors’ details: Please enter all authors in the order they should appear in the abstract’s heading. The presenting author should be chosen and marked. Enter the institutional affiliations of all authors.

Permission to publish: Please give permission to publish your submission on the event website after the congress, if it is accepted for ePoster presentation.

Author approval: Please confirm that your submission has been approved by all authors.

Author will attend: Please confirm that the presenting author will register in full to attend the congress.

Incomplete abstracts: There is an option to submit your incomplete abstract and complete it later. After you submit your abstract, you can still re-enter the submission link at any time to view and edit your abstract until the deadline of September 20, 2026. Please note that abstracts must be COMPLETED before the deadline to be sent to review for inclusion in the Scientific Program.

Preview: Carefully check the preview of your abstract. Make sure all special characters and formatting are displaying correctly in your proof. If you find errors, return to the abstract title, authors, or body, and make corrections.

It is the author’s responsibility to submit a correct abstract. Any spelling, grammar, or scientific fact errors will be reproduced as typed by the author.

Upon receipt of your submission, the system will automatically send the corresponding author an email confirmation (with the abstract’s ID and title). Your submission will fail if you do not receive this automatic email message. In that case, please check your browser or the submitted data.

Regulations

Before submitting the abstract, the Corresponding Author will be required to confirm the following:

1. I confirm that I have previewed this abstract and that all information is correct and according to the abstract submission guidelines provided on the Congress website.
2. I accept that the contents of this abstract cannot be modified or corrected after the final submission, and I am aware that it will be published exactly as it was submitted.
3. Submission of the abstract constitutes my consent to all congress publications.
4. I warrant and represent that I am the sole owner or have the rights to all the information and content (‘Content’) provided to NY/NJ Pain Medicine Congress 2026 (Hereafter: ‘Organizers’). The publication of the abstract does not infringe any third-party rights, including, but not limited to, intellectual property rights.
5. I grant the Organizers a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable nonexclusive license to use, reproduce, publish, translate, distribute, and display the Content.

Program Needs Assessment

Interventional Pain management incorporates interventional treatment options for patients to reduce or eliminate the need for chronic conventional medication management (and/or opiate therapy). Interventional treatment options include: spinal cord stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation, vertebral augmentation, radiofrequency nerve ablation, etc. Since Interventional Pain Management is such a juvenile specialty, very few pain management physicians and anesthesiologists have gone through specific interventional fellowships and residencies. Training in the proper patient selection and utilization of these therapies is limited. Interventionalists need to attend and participate in training programs to receive education and skill-based training in options available for patients.
Additionally, new guidelines are emerging.

It is important for the experts in the field to share the most current information and data available to assist physicians in selecting the right patients and right therapies to improve patient outcomes. Vital topics to be discussed are: New Innovations, Establishing Protocols, Neuromodulation, Complicated Cases, Intrathecal Drug Delivery, Conflicting Evidence and Research. At the conclusion of this meeting, attendees will develop rational guidelines to assist in improving access to care and treatment outcomes for chronic pain patients.

Learning Objectives

• Evaluate new and established techniques in interventional pain management to optimize treatment for patients with chronic or acute pain syndromes.
• Analyze emerging trends and interpret the latest available data to enhance state-of-the-art medical services.
• Identify educational gaps and integrate updated information to improve patient outcomes.
• Apply evidence-based medicine to support physicians in selecting appropriate patients for therapies.
• Develop a structured format for information sharing and feedback among healthcare professionals.
• Assess the appropriate utilization of screening options and patient selection criteria to identify individuals at significant risk of addiction, misuse, abuse, or diversion of controlled substances prescribed for chronic pain.
